In response to the post about the post about "exciting basketball players" i've gotta say that according to your list of attributes that qualify someone worth watching, there aren't a lot of guys who fit the bill. Typically most guys dont guard the 1-4, not many guards are pinning shots on the glass nor are they rebounding their asses off against the 4's and 5's. I don't want to see big men shooting fade aways and three pointers and nor do I want to see centers dribbling between their legs and making unnecessary behind the back passes. What was listed out was exactly what makes the NBA exciting and that's why you watch it. Because there are a lot of guys that do those things, but barely anyone does them all.
Guys play their positions and they play them well. Dwight Howard doesn't do all the things you listed out, nor do I want him to. If he starts shimmying like the diesel or crossing people over in the front court he'd be a joke. And I don't know where you get off saying he isn't exciting? Have you seen him play? I don't relate to a post player either, nor did I ever think I would. But it just goes to show you what a quality individual who plays his position right can do for a little white point guard like me.

When i watched dwight play live he was the most dominant player I have ever seen in person. I saw lebron in 06, maybe it would be different now, i saw kobe in 06 07 and 08, I saw iverson, shaq, and wade. And i have never seen someone dominate a game like that in person. Ever. I kept the newspaper clipping. 39 points 16 rebounds and 5 blocks. Exciting no matter what position you play. Second most dominate was kobes 49. He can score at will.
