why do you like him? what do you like about him? what do you like about his game?

ps he got lucky with the free throws, lets see him continue to do that consistently

pss why you gotta bring queen into it, thats just rude, and totally incorrect

psss and i hope your happy, now i gotta be a lakers fan.......lakers in 5

pssss nothing says class act, and team leader for that matter, like technical fouls......and taunting. when is the last time lebron dunked on someone and stood over them and yelled and flexed while he looked at them. and i dont care if the league took it back, you know he did.

psssss how convenient for you to show up after the win, and the best game of his life, oh well, i guess consistency and reliability arent as important to some as it is to others.

well put?

lets see where to begin. totally wrong. dwight does not play the way i would want any post player to play. i wouldnt mind dwight playing post on my team, and i believe there is a place on teams for guys like him, but he doesnt play the way i would like. or the way any intelligent basketball fan, for that matter, would choose if they had the choice. why would i want my post to play like him and not hakeem, or duncan, or the admiral, or zo, or kg. i want my post to shoot jumpers and be able to pull the d out. i want my post to be able to consistently make free throws and be a major threat in the clutch, not a gamble. i want my big to have a consistent jump hook or some good footwork, with some different moves that can adapt to the defense and flow of the game. i want them to have good hands and be a passing threat when they are double and triple teamed, and not be a liability for offensive fouls all night. dwight is good, at what he does, but not what i would want. as far as lebron going to the basket on anything less than 3 steps, that is a huge exaggeration. yes he travels, just as all nba players do, and just as most driving slashing guards or forwards do. they are all more apt to travel more than other player, cus the ball is in their hands more, and they are making moves, spinning, crossing over, evading the d, its gonna happen. lebron, jordan, kobe, wade, its gonna happen. to say that lebron does it every time, or even the majority is ridiculous. if the nba was letting him blatantly travel 60-70 percent of the time he had the ball i think there would be some issues and greater consequences than you complaining about it in a blog. FUNDAMENTAL:serving as a basis supporting existence or determining essential structure or function, of or dealing with general principles rather than practical application. sometimes i just dont know about you. are you nuts. ya lebron is no luke walton, but really no one in the nba is(and luke isnt really all that dominating or super effective for that matter, thought he can play a good supporting role at times). when i say the fundamentals, i say the foundations of the game. ya lebron doesnt have the best looking shot, he is not the best ball handler, or passer, and so on. but he has worked and is developing a complete game. just like you wanna teach kids, and i think strive for yourself. develop a jump shot, be able to shoot free throws, get some post moves, work a little mid rang, be able to handle the ball, and pass some, play d, on the ball and off, try to guard multiple positions, try to cover the basics that make the game. of course no one is gonna be the best at everything, but at least work develop the skills, just dont be the best big tall guy who is strong who can jump high. then you are the best athlete, not best ball player. play ball. and again, i think dwight is effective, and i would take him on my team, cus he can make an impact and be effective, but man if he could make some free throws or shoot the mid range just imagine! lebron does it right! he is big and fast and can jump, but he doesnt rely on it, he uses it. there is a difference. he sets a good example. yes be bigger, be faster, be stronger, but also, develop your skills. develop your left, ball handle, pass to open team mates, shoot at a variety of ranges, have some moves, step throughs, spins, drop steps, fades, floaters, hooks, crab dribbles(hahaha). pass using your left and right. bounce pass, hustle, keep your cool. lebron does all this and is a good example for kids and players of all ages i believe. but yes he turns it over, but does anyone in the league have the ball in their hands as much, and for that matter, does anyone have the ball in their hands as much, and then are expected to do something with it as much as lebron. i dont think so. so yes combined all that with playing as much or more minutes than anyone and you ll get fatigue that will also lead to turnovers. you know me i hate turnovers more than anything, but i think its all relative. lebron plays 47 minutes and almost always either touches the ball or ends up with it and is forced to make a play. dwight plays way less minutes due to his foul trouble, and gets way less touches because of the hot guards he has on his team and double and triple teams that deny him the ball, and he still turns the ball over an awful lot. and no you cant teach someone to be 6.9 260 and run a 4.4, but you can teach shot form, and ball handling and footwork, and if you remember lebrons first couple years his shot was bad. and he has worked and has grown and developed and become more and more of a threat. and his ball handling and use of his left have gotten more effective as well. so i believe he is very fundamental, and becoming more so every year. oh ya and lastly "great example of trying to be a complete player"? he is the most complete player in the league, and maybe of all time. but thats just me, and i guess thats why i like lebron, and jordan, and barkley, and garnet, and cp3, and wade and you like agent 0 and van exel, and baron davis, and larry hughes. ok that last bit was a cheap shot.

ps im really starting to feel durrant, and i know youve been down since day one, which is why i can understand why you gotta hate on lebron so much. luv yall

just you little guards wait

i need enought time, ive been trying for the last 2 days, to get enough time to posts, hopefully tomorrow at lunch

FunDaMentals

As far as all these great fundamentals are concerned, dwight plays the way you would want any post player to play. Lebron plays the three great. One problem they both have is turnovers. Niether of them is the perfect example for kids. Lebron is jumping to pass like crazy which often leads to a turnover. Dwight is lowering his shoulder to make spin moves which often leads to an offensive foul. Lebron travels like crazy....rarely goes to the hoop on anything less than 3 steps. Dwight uses his off arm to shield away oppising rebounders. If you want to honestly know, Lebron is a horrible example of a fundamental athelete, but a great example of trying to be a complete player despite his overwhelming physical prowess. He gets shots whenever he wants cause hes faster stronger and more athletic than anyone. Kobe gets shot ala jordon...with sly vetran moves. Lebron may be the best in the league....but a great example for how to play the game he is not. You cant teach someone to be 6'8 230 with a 40 inch vertical and a 4.4 40 time.

I'm Sorry that I'm not Sorry

He's been magnificant, he's been clutch, and his supporting cast does nothing to help him.....but the refs are doing everything in there power to! I don't want to hear anyshit about special players deserving special calls he gets the worst fucking calls! YOu know im talking about lebron. He's traveling he's charging, he's goal tending (game 3) and yet he gets all the calls. Pietrus didnt come close to fouling him at the end of regulation. Why cant the refs just let it play out. IF pietrus fouled him, varajeo raped Dhoward without lube! If that were lebron they would have called a foul for sure. It's just disgusting.... If it weren't for the refs this series would be over already. Lebron is an icreadible athelete and competitor, and is deserving of his MVP trophy....but you can't try to help him with officiating just because he caught a bad match up with the magic. Mo williams was great this season but not this series, courtney lee is too quick on the pick and rolls, rashard is too tall, hedo is too ugly, and dwight is getting disrespected by the refs! (that technical....are you kidding?) Please do us a favor Lebron... Sign with the knicks in 2010 with Chris Bosh and Steve Nash and Win a ring without the refs help!

help please!

if lebron james ever gets any teammates who can score or contribute he ll win more championships than jordan. he has no help. he is the best in the league hands down. van gundy is out coaching mike brown hands down. if lebron can get some teammates or a coach to help out the situation he ll start winning some games. no one can stop him. no one can carrry a team like he does. cleveland is a bunch of b teamers without him. dwight and company barely pull out victories with everyone firing on all cylinder. alston has the game of his life, and van gundy is killing brown. how does mike brown not tell andy V to foul dwight everytime he touches the ball in the paint, and let him score 3 times in the paint to start overtime....come on coach! and run some plays please! cant you set up some plays, instead of clear out for lebron every time. half of dwights scores are off plays that get him in the position to score. and how could mike brown not have someone shadow alston when he was having that kind of game. just throw your guards out there and have them shadow him and not let him touch the ball. he killed cleveland, 15 in the 3rd. streaky ugly basketball. dear cleveland, new york, or any other team that ends up with lebron, please give him some people to play with so he can win the championships he deserves for playing the game the right way, the way its meant to be play, the way it should be played, the way it is most enjoyable to watch, if not for me do it for the children. let them have a good example of how the game should be played, so they can see you can win championships by doing it the right way. lebron is the most complete player to ever play the game and he deserves better, this is pathetic, and come on mo, cant make the guarantee and not deliver....b teamer!

ps trade Z, sasha, and big ben, get someone to help out lebron, itll work, just ask boston.

southpaw.

i guess someone shouldve told hakeem he was a "big man" and to knock off all that jump shooting and free throw making, and the foot work...yuk....stop that youre a big man! hooray for tall muscle guys. It still just weirds me out how he can be your favorite, how do you relate or enjoy watching a guy who is taller and stronger than just about everyone, who can almost jump higher than everyone, who has no dribbling ability, no passing ability, no shooting ability, no footwork, and no touch. how do you enjoy that? oh i would take him in Cleveland in a minute, cus he can bring something to the team and be effective(at what he does), but how can you enjoy watching that night in and night out? boring! he wont ever win without a kobe or wade, just as shaq never did. you never know what lebron will do, kobe, dwade, cp3, melo, and talk about making your team better, come on. come on look at garnett, when he is on the floor everyone seems to go to the next level, i love that. lets try and make the guys around you better players, aside from just getting them open shots because you demand a double team. and lets stay in the game so you can lead, and lead by example, stop it with the technicals rasheed! the guy is so one dimensional. he seems like a nice guy( i heard him yell shit real loud), but hes just so irritating to watch. its like that time we played at the rec with that like 275lb 6 ft 1 guy, and he just stood on the block and shot layups, how boring and disgusting. i guess if the idea is to just score and win, and that works then great, but for me it has always gone a little deeper, and even though it may be affective it is just gross to watch and doesnt seem right. but i guess thats just my opinion and love for the game, and i guess thats why everyone has a different favorite player. it just really makes it hard to coach these kids and get them to develop the basics and fundamentals, and real basketball skills, when they see all these guys just relying on their athletic ability and being "successful". lets face it most nba players are athletic freaks of nature, and they elite ones even more so, so lets add a little actual basketball foundation and develop some of the basic skills (ie: somewhat decent shot form and the ability to shoot free throws), and really see the beauty of the game. when i started out i was a post. played it for 3 years, never attempted a 3, and was the worst free throw shooter on the team. my freshman year i was again the worst free throw shooter on the team, and i didnt attempt a 3. if i wouldve made my free throws every game i wouldve averaged 20 points, instead 12. i went to shooting camps and practiced my ass off, and the next 2 years i led my team in free throw percentage and 3s, and eventually, do to the fact i quit growing at 6 ft and the fact that i developed my ball handling and passing skills, became a guard and spot up 3 point shooter. but because of my experience in the post i could play 1-3 and sometimes 4 if the guys where 6.3 or under. point is i just dont see how if its your job, and thats all you have to do, how you cant develop you game and master the fundamentals.

ps i didnt start developing my left hand till the last couple years, one of my biggest regrets, but our coaches never pushed it and never had us practice it, it wasnt until lebron came in and started using it as such a weapon that i really became aware.

Complete Basketball Players

In case you had forgotten, Dwight Howard is a freaking CENTER!! he's not supposed to dribble between his legs, play multiple positions "well" and shoot clutch 3 pointers. Usually centers are centers because they are big, powerful and hopefully with a little finesse. Can Lebron play the 1, 2, 3, and 4 better than Dwight? Yea for sure, because his body is built for that. Can Dwight kick the shit out of Lebron in the paint? Uhh obviously. Is that just Howard? No! Can Kobe play 1234 better than zydrunas ilgauskas? yes. But could Kobe defend yao ming in the post? nope.

Unfortuntaly for your Prattius, i've already got the retro magic shorts. Thanks though

smilin laughin jokin around guy

i hate Turkoglus face, skip to my lou is a streaky / lucky punk, rashard lewis' shot is gross and inconsistent, he is a bad example for kids, and i hate his little devil beard thingy, dwight howard got lucky and made some free throws, and all of orlando got lucky and lebron had a terrible shooting night, otherwise he get 55-60 and cavs win, i like dwight but it drives me crazy that he cant shoot free throws, its a constant, its the same in every gym on every court, i cant see how you cant dedicate to mastering the fundamentals, in love of the game, and for the kids watching, and get some moves too, some footwork, a little mid range jumper. my favorite centers/big men: david robinson, hakeem, duncan, garnett, rick smitts. stan van jeremy isnt getting the respect he deserves, mike brown is getting out coached. sasha pavlacrap is crap and waly should be getting his minutes and then some, and when west and mo cant hit, gibson needs to get some minutes and a chance to make a difference, as he did when they went to the finals the first time.

ps kern, ill trade you my nike throwback orlando magic shorts(grey with blue pinstripes) for your grey new jersey throw back shorts if ya want

p

complete basketball players

dribble, pass, shoot, dunk, steal, lead, defend, play multiple positions very efficiently, clutch, able to shoot 3 point jumpers(and hit them) at buzzers. I love the game of basketball. I love tall athletic guys who are destructive to the equipment, and dunk from 2 feet away all night(really exciting, and good example too for all the kids out there who will never be 6.10)too, but most of all I love the game of basketball and basketball players.

ps i have a authentic shaq orlando magic jersey, so i have always loves big tall athletic guys who stand, and turn, and dunk........neat

pss happy now sam, and the computer is up and running so im back on it, luv yall

Fantasy Baseball

Why does fantasy baseball suck? Well it sucks because i'm losing. Not only am I losing, but Sam is not winning either. In the realm of sports, when both he and I are somehow wrong at the same time, then one can deduce there is something inherently wrong with whatever is going on. For example, for the past two years, at least one of us have been in the championship for fantasy basketball as it should be. Sam stated quickly that getting griffey not ichiro was what the mariners needed, i agreed, we were both right (there are more factors, but the statement is true). I proposed that donkey kong on sega genesis was the best game ever, he disagreed and said mortal kombat was and well at least one of us was right. We both agree that Lebron is an over hyped-crab dribbling-shouldn't be on NBA Top 10 more than once a month-terrible jump shooting piece of annoyance and he's now MVP. Something's wrong...
